4000 PIXEL LED MURAL

During the Spring of 2018 I constructed a large RGB LED display with the help of a couple friends. The display is constructed from a number of inexpensive WS2812b LED strips controlled by a custom PIC32MZ microcontroller board. The display was used to display several simple bitmap animations (like Julian Opie's "Suzanne Walking Forwards") as well as some simulations of a mesh of coupled oscillators, which approximates the surface of a liquid and allows for the possibility of real-time sensor inputs to the graphical display in the future.
